"The organic G.D. Vajra 2019 Barolo Ravera (with fruit from the most sought-after cru in the village of Novello) reveals gorgeous tonality and color. The wine shines bright with dark ruby and garnet gemstone. Healthy Nebbiolo colors like this can be admired across the 2019 vintage. Ravera represents a union of different geologies from Barolo and Castiglione Falletto. The site has shown extraordinary versatility, especially in the face of climate change, to make wines of both strength and elegance. It is softly textured but also strong in fiber, with silky sensations followed by dark fruit and concentration. Ravera has a character all its own, and the operative word here is power." - Monica Larner

"With fruit from the beautiful village of Verduno, the 2019 Barolo Pisapola opens to a slightly sweet-smelling bouquet with blood orange and apricot. Those notes are momentary because in a second moment the wine offers rose, red licorice and grilled rosemary. This wine shows unique floral freshness and accessibility with a silky close. Only 3,500 bottles were made, and this wine only appears in the best vintages; otherwise, the fruit is used elsewhere." - Monica Larner (Wine Advocate)

"The 2019 Barolo opens to a lean appearance with a very vibrant Nebbiolo color that shines with dark ruby highlights. There is dried cherry and candied fruit aromas on the bouquet. Those fruit layers cede to light spice, lilac and campfire ash. The beauty in this wine is the extreme balance achieved in this classic vintage. It delivers on all levels: intensity, length and joy." - Monica Larner, Wine Advocate
"Polished. Very good graduation from a copper centre to a green rim. Clean and concentrated nose, moving towards some savoury elements. Again, cheese straw or like a dry Madeira. The nose is open and attractive with very good poise on entry. Immediate, clean and pure. Linear, with lovely freshness and balance. This is still very lively and there is absolutely no rush to drink. This is on a plateau and unlikely to improve but enjoying an eternal drinking window." - Richard Kelley MW
"Quite high-toned apple and lemon aromas, again with plenty of stoney minerality on the nose. This is (for me) where Chenin takes on an almost Riesling-like character, with some definite grapey, petrol/kerosene aromas. The palate shows power, concentration and complexity, with waves of dried fruit flavours, nervy acidity and immense length. A wine which manages to be both powerful and delicate at the same time." -Moulin Touchais
"They say that great vintages often come in pairs. This is the natural partner to the 1997, although not a botrytis vintage. One of the best value wines of all vintages commercially available.
"Polished. Orange/bronze with some green hints to the rim. Broad and very open on the nose. Rich and concentrated, although it lacks the finesse, power and elegance of the 1997. It’s a different style, but I’d say on today’s showing it is equal to it. There is a hint of honeycomb on the nose and palate and shows real complexity. Very pure and clean on entry with a lovely fresh acid-sweetness balance. The wine builds nicely through to a persistent finish, with notes of old Cognac and a toasty, almost oak/vanilla like profile. This is drinking well now but continues to improve." - Richard Kelley MW
"Hailing from a warm vintage that was one of the best in what would have been a fairly ordinary decade, the 1985 Moulin Touchais Coteaux du Layon is starting to take on a deep golden appearance, commencing to amber. It offers a gorgeous, suave texture and a very complex nose that's a touch oxidative but that adds a layer of additional intrigue: it's all nuts, raisins, walnuts, olives, warm pastry, cinnamon, cooked orange peel." - Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous
"A selection of lots assembled from the other Bordeaux red wines, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Les Petits Morlet is slightly herbal, with subtle notes of pencil shavings accenting straightforward cassis fruit. It's medium to full-bodied, supple and easy drinking, with an almost creamy-textured mid-palate and a softly dusty finish tinged with licorice." - Joe Czerwinski (Wine Advocate)

The 2019 Yjar is the third vintage of their top-of-the-range wine designed for the international market and sold through the négociant system of Bordeaux. It was produced with a blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano and other grapes from 3.8 hectares of selected plots from the Remelluri vineyards, cropped from a challenging year with frost. This feels young but already very Rioja, marked by the Garnacha, which could represent around 30% of the bottled blend. It's tense and has abundant but fine-grained tannins, a little Italian in style. They kept a lower alcoholic degree in 2019, a moderate 14%, and the wine comes through as very elegant. This has to be my favorite vintage of Yjar. It spent 30 months in barrels of different sizes and foudres. - Luis Gutierrez (Wine Advocate)

A blend of 45% Clairette, 35% Grenache Blanc and 20% Bourboulenc, the 2022 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc is mostly (80%) made in stainless steel, with 20% being fermented and matured in barrel, mostly demi-muids. Scents of crushed stone, honey, ripe peach and tangerine all appear on the nose, while the medium to full-bodied palate is plump enough to satisfy yet crisp enough on the finish to refresh. Nicely done.

“A seamless, totally captivating wine, the 2015 Latour has no beginning and no end, it simply exists in its own little world of pure and total harmony. Nothing is out of place. Instead, the 2015 captivates both the intellectual and hedonistic senses with its remarkable aromatic depth and textural brilliance. Exotic in its ripeness, with tremendous persistence and dazzling balances, the 2015 really does have it all.” – Antonio Galloni (Vinous)

“Powerful and dark in the glass, the 2017 Les Forts de Latour is super-impressive. Black cherry, plum, spice, chocolate and leather are just some of the many aromas and flavors that flesh out as this ample, heady Pauillac shows off its considerable personality. Medium in body, yet with terrific depth and substance, the Forts de Latour is an absolute winner in 2017.” – Antonio Galloni (Vinous)
Perfumed and juicy, with a concentration that builds. Round and silky, this shows a lot of delicious fruit and a lot of complexity, with sea salt–dusted apple and honeycomb flavors layered with green herbs and cardamom, which bring an appealing savory edge. There's a lot to like now, yet this is one for the cellar as well.
